Compensation and benefits managers set salaries, bonuses, and benefits for employees. They design the company’s salary structure, work with insurance brokers and other outside vendors, and ensure the company’s salary policies comply with regulations and labor laws. Top executives develop the strategies that organizations use to achieve their goals and grow sustainably. They consult with board members, hire managers, analyze budgets and set objectives. They also negotiate contracts and oversee operations. According to the BLS, top executives earned a median annual salary of $103,840 in May 2023.3
Health and medical services managers coordinate and direct care for healthcare facilities, departments, or physicians’ practices. They will manage budget and finance issues, hire staff, monitor performance, and ensure their facility’s compliance with healthcare regulations and laws. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), health and medical services managers earned a median annual salary of $110,680 as of May 2023.4
